Souleymane's Story
Directed by Boris Lojkine1h 34m2024
As he pedals through the streets of Paris to deliver meals, Souleymane recounts his story. In two days, he has to go through his asylum application interview, the key to obtaining papers, but Souleymane is not ready.
Our read: Souleymane's Story (2024) reads as a sombre, steady, grounded drama entry — measured in intensity, mid-stakes in scope, measured in temperature, ambivalent in outlook.
Sombre, steady, measured drama, grounded in texture. Ambivalent, mid-stakes, measured.
